Description

Curating Your Network with Johanna Seasonwein

Networks don’t just happen—they have to be carefully cultivated and nourished. Effective networks rely on connection and trust, both of which can be fostered through practices associated with emotional intelligence, such as mindful listening and empathy. In this interactive two-hour workshop, participants will:

  • Identify the strengths and weaknesses of their current network and develop a game plan to strategically grow their network;

  • Learn what makes for an effective and positive networking interaction and what kinds of questions to ask;

  • Understand the importance of listening and empathy in the context of networking; and

  • Practice connecting with others in a networking environment.

  • Option to stay for social hour (7:30-8:30 p.m.) featuring hosted refreshments and hors d'oeuvres
